How do blind people make a cup of coffee?

I know how ignorant that sounds, and i am truly sorry if i've offended anyone, but i need to kno. My vision keeps going dodgey, meaning i have to get around and do things from memory and touch, but every time i try to make a cuppa when i can't see i end up scolding myself. i leave the kettle 10 mins before making it so it cools down but it's still hot enough to burn.
